A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.

The framing of Ansar Allah blockade is completely wrong and needs to be rectified.

It's wrong to state that Houthis are threatening to attacking civilian ships.

Instead, private shipping companies are illegally attempting to evade Yemeni sanctions against Israel.

Words cannot describe the rage I am feeling right now. Palestine's liberation is such a fucking softball, and if people can so easily cheer for their genocide I frankly don't know what to do with myself in the US.

Apologies for the 'Dear Diary' type post, but I really just don't know how to alleviate this intense feeling.

The Iraqi Hezbollah brigades have officially announced their participation in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation. The military representative of the Iraqi Hezbollah brigades , Jafar Al Husseini, said that "the Americans are key accomplices in the deaths of the residents of the Gaza Strip and therefore they (the Americans) must bear responsibility for the consequences." He emphasized that the Iraqi Hezbollah brigades practically started the fight from today, with attacks on American bases. Information appeared on Telegram channels that Hezbollah drones attacked two American military bases in Syria at the same time: The al-Tanf base in the province of Homs and the facility at the Conoco field in Deir ez-Zor were hit.

My father in law is visiting this weekend and he's kind of a know it all socdem. I don't know what his stance in this all is and I'm not really looking forward to the discussion we'll probably have. Maybe it's not too bad but I kinda expect him to go 'but Hamas are terrorists though'. I had a big argument with him when Ukraine started so I'm afraid it may turn into a big argument yet again. Or that his endless pacifism affects my partner who, for the first time, is starting to see through the propaganda with this kind of things.

Al-Quds hospital saying they are receiving a clear warning from Israel that they will be bombed soon. Wonder how they will spin it this time.

A whopping number of 20 (!) trucks are allowed to go into Gaza right now. Twenty. For 2.3 million people under siege.

Recent reporting by Channel 4 included the work of 2 separate organisations which carried out forensic investigation on the online materials relating to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital explosion on the 17th of October. Their analyses oppose the Israeli claims that the explosion was due to a PIJ or Hamas rocket.

Earshot conducted an audio analysis of the clip released by the IOF, which purportedly showed 2 Hamas fighters admitting that the explosion was caused by a rocket.

On the morning of October 18th, Israel Defence Forces released this video https://twitter.com/IDF/status/1714548529538953637. Earshot.ngo performed an audio analysis and found that this recording was manipulated and cannot be used as a credible source of evidence.

When calls are intercepted, we would expect them to be single monophonic recordings with both voices on the same channel of audio. What is unusual in this alleged intercepted call is that we have the voices divided across two channels, left and right.

The fact that this recording is made up of two separate channels demonstrates that these two voices have been recorded independently. These two independent recordings have then been edited together with added effects (such as pan control).

Though this audio analysis cannot categorically state that the audible dialogue is fake, Earshot.ngo’s opinion is that the level of manipulation required to edit these two voices together disqualifies it as a source of credible evidence.

The same organisation conducted an audio analysis of the explosion footage. They concluded that the projectile couldn't have come from the direction claimed by the IOF.

Earshot.ngo performed a Doppler Effect analysis from two videos from the missile attack on the Al-Ahli hospital. The results cast doubt on the IDF’s claim that the missile that hit the hospital approached from the south-west.

The increasing pitch suggests the missile is accelerating towards the camera. The decreasing pitch suggests that the missile is now moving away from the camera while still accelerating, upon the missile’s impact. The IDF claimed the missile was fired by the Islamic Jihad from a south-western location. If this was the case, we would expect the pitch observed by this camera to increase continuously until the missile’s impact.

However, the Doppler Effect that we hear indicates that the missile was closer to the camera before hitting the hospital. This would mean that the missile approached the hospital from north-east, east or south-east.

The other organisation called Forensic Architecture, analysed the crater and fragmentation of the projectile. Their findings were consistent with the Earshot analysis.

I feel terrible for the Palestinians, they have no home and are under constant threat by the occupying, zionist pigs. I hope they can succeed in destroying the zionist state for good and rebuild their country.

[–] PostingInternational@lemmygrad.ml 23 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Hamas states they targeted the military targets but some civilians were caught in crossfire. The Western media seems to be claiming this was purely a terror attack on "civilians" (I am guessing that's what they call the armed and illegal settler colonialists). Is there any actual evidence for the Western media claims at all?

I mean, if Hamas was all about the terrorist attack on civilians, why would they even bother claiming that they targeted military or that civilians got caught in the crossfire?

[–] DankZedong@lemmygrad.ml 23 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Western media just can't sell Palestina fighting for their rights so they have to add the scary islamist org in the mix. 'Just condemn Hamas' 'But what if Hamas gets in charge of Palestina? That's bad as well!' things like that.

Every person that gets killed by Hamas is a victim of terrorism and every person killed by Israel is an accident.

Remember that Hamas is ISIS! They are nothing but backwards Islamist terrorists who carry out mass beheadings to spread fear and terror. Their brutal methods ought to be consigned to medieval history, totally unlike Israel and the U.S.A. who would never advocate for mass beheading for any reason! After all, we know that they are the forces of modernity - the children of the light.

Actually looking back at Netanyahu's 2012 UN speech against Iran, the irony is so thick.

For today, a great battle is being waged between the modern and the medieval. The forces of modernity seek a bright future in which the rights of all are protected, in which an ever-expanding digital library is available in the palm of every child, in which every life is sacred. The forces of medievalism seek a world in which women and minorities are subjugated, in which knowledge is suppressed, in which not life but death is glorified. ... Israel stands proudly with the forces of modernity. We protect the rights of all our citizens: men and women, Jews and Arabs, Muslims and Christians – all are equal before the law. ... Israel cherishes life, that Israel cherishes peace and seeks peace. ... We seek to forge a durable peace with the Palestinians. ... They want to drag humanity back to an age of unquestioning dogma and unrelenting conflict. I am sure of one thing. Ultimately they will fail. Ultimately, light will penetrate the darkness.

Back then Iran was Al-Qaeda, now Hamas is ISIS...

[–] DankZedong@lemmygrad.ml 23 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The Western leaders are truly not going to give an inch with this, it seems. But they also seem hesitant to comment on things because they see the huge pro-Palestina crowds. But they also can't go against daddy USA. It's good to see them afraid for once.

Hamas published yesterday an 18-minute long pre-recorded press conference in English about their side of the story. This has received zero media attention anywhere in the western press. So in the interest of full transparency, here is the entire press conference.

https://twitter.com/Aldanmarki/status/1712738101108384185

Third, the operation targeted only Israeli military bases and combatants that were suffocating the people of Gaza for more than 17 years.

Fourth, we here would like to stress that there were clear instructions from the top commander of Al-Qassam Brigades to avoid targeting civilians or killing them. And many released videos showed how Al-Qassam fighters were keen to avoid harming civilians.

Fifth, as a result of the swift collapse of the Israeli military bases and the surrender of the Israeli soldiers, chaos prevailed in the scene, where civilians found themselves in the middle of the confrontations.

Tenth, on the Israeli allegations of killing civilians and beheading of babies, which were unethically and unprofessionally adopted by many Western media outlets, this is a complete shame that these media outlets follow such lies and Israeli propaganda without making simple efforts to check the reality of these allegations. We firmly deny these allegations, and as we reject this media bias, we call on the media agencies to abide by the journalism code of ethics.

It is no doubt that what the Israeli occupation is implementing, the scorched earth policy, and their aggression on Gaza, thousands of civilians are being killed under the rubble -- the rubble of their homes. In brief, they are destroying everything. Gaza is being wiped out by the fascist and indiscriminate Israeli bombing. If we describe the situation in Gaza, it could be said in one word -- it is a genocide.

You can tell the Israelis aren't happy with the public backlash they're getting about all this. That's why it's so important to scare away news reporters and cut off Gaza's internet.

Hamas Online:

⭕️ The US adoption of the Israeli narrative makes it involved in the Gaza massacres

The US administration’s continued adoption of the Zionist narrative, which is based on lies and false claims, confirms that Washington is blindly biased toward the Israeli occupation.

This policy also means that the US is a direct partner with the occupation leaders in the massacres committed every minute in the already blockaded Gaza Strip."

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at a conference with EU representative Borrell, spoke in support of Palestine, saying that the Palestinian people have been oppressed by Israel for more than half a century. He also added that he would speak in emergency consultations of the UN Security Council in support of a cessation of hostilities, and China would provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
