I'm an Autistic 29 year old guy who can do everything normally, but I can really struggle with finding a job and keeping a job. Hearing what RFK Jr. had to say about the Autistic community, we need to show up on the streets to show that we can stand up on our own have our voices be heard loud and clear. The Trump admin wants to make it sound like they have good intentions for us, but that is not the case! We already live difficult lives fitting into society as we can do just about everything by ourselves but still be socially different. It's not supposed to be a curse, but it is. I didn't go for the April 5th or April 19th protests. I also feel left out not attending any of the BLM protests back in 2020 while all my other family members got to attend one. I live in Portland, a very politically active city.

Thursday, May 1st, according to a KOIN story about the most recent one.

Edit: remember to bring a mask you're comfortable wearing in case of police fumes and/or to hide from too much human interaction and/or facial recognition. Stay away from anyone trying to elevate conflicts, be in the peaceful group. If you bring a phone, it should be a burner with only the name/number of a safe person, preferably also a burner. If you bring your real phone, check it for information you don't want revealed, and clear your history. Don't take photos of people's faces. Bring water, wear sunscreen/a hat.

These protests are decentralized.

That means that there are multiple groups and coalitions organizing these protests, making it a bit hard to get your information from just one source (as it should be, because that's harder to silence or take down).

You can look up your zip code at the website below for events near you. I invite you attend whichever event catches your interest, they all end up being great experiences because you are connecting with people just as sad or frustrated as you are.

Going to these protests builds connections and solidarity, so definitely go check out as many as you are able to:

I'm seeing some things for May 1, International Workers' Day. I know the last couple have been on Saturdays, and based on a two-week cycle, the next one would be May 3rd - but I don't see anything near me scheduled yet. Not unusual, I don't think these get publicized until the week of. Keep your eyes out for May 3rd, and be ready to go on that day.

Thursday May 1 would be both more symbolic and more disruptive. Try searching for that date in your area
