Enough Musk Spam

The whole flight was a shitshow.

• The booster exploded at the beginning of the landing burn (forgivable, they were intentionally trying an aggressive re-entry profile).
• The door to release the payload simulator didn’t open. Again. They have had years to fix this after the last time the door got stuck.
• The vehicle was on fire. Again. Clearly they can’t keep the fuel from leaking.
• The attitude control was broken. Again. They can’t keep their vehicle pointed in the right direction.

WTF they doing over there? Every single one of these problems has already happened before, multiple times.

But credit where credit is due, Starlink worked brilliantly through the whole flight. We got to see the vehicle melt in realtime.

The US government sent astronauts to the literal moon 60+ years ago. This is the true failure of capitalism--the difference between people working on a project for the passion and the challenge of it... and a bunch of people working on a project because they want to scrounge up a paycheck to survive and benefit themselves. I'm sure the Space-X engineers are passionate, but the type of people you need to truly design next-gen tech will only be found at an institution like NASA where they will truly believe in the mission.

People can lie and put up whatever fascia they want, but I don't think it's possible to truly give 100% when you know your efforts are going primarily toward support some jackass billionaire instead of a nation of your beloved peers.

These things seem safe. Musk should take one for a spin.

Let's see... as the rockets fail they're both moving fast and they're breaking things (such as their payloads). Looks like another Silicon Valley success story to me! /s

Elon should liquidate all his holdings and piss off somewhere quiet. I'm sure he could have a pleasant life, and the rest of us certainly will with him gone.
