piers is not exactly mainstream, and he'll do everything to get clicks. including having people on who regularly shit on him, because he knows it gets views. he loves it, and that's all he cares about.
Did you see the latest images coming out of Gaza? They're drip feeding humanitarian aid to crowds of people herded like cattle in wired fences.
It's utterly outrageous, even by Israel's standard. Their activities are too repulsive to ignore for a lot of commentators.
Today Piers was not a twat.
He should frame that because it's a pretty rare event.

Unless I see evidence of him being legitimately critical of Israel prior to 2025, I'm gonna assume he's only calling them out now because public opinion has overwhelmingly turned against Israel.
You probably won't find anything, he's a twat, and has always been a twat. But everyone has their limit, and seeing 4k videos of children burning alive was probably his.
It should be everyone's limit. Limits should have been hit long before that.

I absolutely detest him, but at least he has the guts (even if it's just for ratings) to ask these questions and make these genocidal maniacs look inept. The majority of "news" media just pander to them.

He's a prick at the end of the day, hence I said possibly ratings. I assume also he's seen the vast swing in public opinion and wants to make sure he's somehow on the "reasonable" side. In this specific clip though, he's on the money.

Yeah now that Israel has fallen out of favour and others have already publically condemned their actions of course Piers won't miss the oppurtunity to talk over somebody in the name of journalism. Don't get me wrong - the ambassador can get fucked too. But I still remember all the crap he said about Palestine like a year ago. He was one of the public figures really pushing the "Palestine supporter = hamas terrorism enjoyer" narrative. The killing of Palestinian children hasn't just started now and he was on the side of the perpetrators the whole time. This interview changes nothing about what a greedy, self righteous piece of shit he is.

I think the appropriate response from an ambassador to a question they don't know the answer is "let me find out and get back to you", not "please stop asking me questions!".
"How many children have you killed" "Let me find out and get back to you" is definitely an answer, but I'm not sure it's a good one.
"I don't have those specific numbers but we're taking all precautions to limit casualties...and did I mention all the bad things they are doing?" is more the traditional response.
