The most important part of the mobile app for me is the client side filters I can setup (muting users, communities, instances, words and phrases). I like to opt-in and opt-out of content, so I can use "All" to find news things, and "Subscribed" for a more narrow focus of interests. The second most important feature is to be able to tag users with my own client side labels, so I don't have to remember everyone. Currently, the only app that supports PieFed, Interstellar, does not have this functionality. I like Piefed so far, very promising, but need these things for me to fully transition over.

PieFed has all those features, if you use the browser. The PWA is fine, I use it often.

Sorry if I sound noobish, what is PWA? Where are the controls for tagging people and filtering things, I must have missed them. I'm currently using the browser.

To tag someone, go to their profile, tap 'more', then 'edit note'. You can use an emoji or type something.

This is a big one for me, but I also understand it takes a tremendous amount of work. What if instead, somebody contributed code to the existing Lemmy apps to make them support PieFed? There's a lot of them out there already. Would that be easier?
