After I post an article, I can see where the article was cross-posted. I would like to see this before posting, so I don't repost the same article to the same comm.

Is it possible to look up if/where an article is posted (without posting it)?

Piefed has that warning when you are in the posting menu

Yep works great. The only caviot is the Piefed instance must be federated with the other instance. But that's usually the case so should be fine.

The default browser also shows you where it's been posted on the create a post page

I haven't seen this in my browser. I think I'm using the default at lemmy.dbzer0.com.

They might have a different browser. I'm actually not really sure which servers use what by default.
