I'm a slab of meat, rubbing my meat to relax my meat. This biomass is relaxed

[–] Apocalypteroid@lemmy.world 7 points 14 hours ago

I also enjoy rubbing my meat

Study was done in mice, and it relies on massaging specific lymph nodes which are easily accessible for massage (sounds like most of the lymph nodes related to the brain-flushing mechanism are too deep in the neck to really get at).

Super curious if/where humans have analogues.

But it could make your back feel better for a day or two. Why address the cause when we can just temporarily fix the symptoms?

[–] Kekzkrieger@feddit.org 4 points 16 hours ago

Most of what they do is just placebo, recently read somewhere about it not even reliefing issues but the noise making people feel better for a short while.

[–] sramder@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because you don’t want her giving you a face massage so you can take a brain poop? Gonna need some further explanation, chief.

[–] Alteon@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Wife already wants hourly neck and head massages. My thumbs are already working at max capacity, Captain. I'm giving it all I got!

[–] Feddinat0r@feddit.org 2 points 15 hours ago

Perhaps why we rub our eyes when tired? I wonder.
