You mean Fort Liberty? I live in Fayetteville. Our road signs all say Fort Liberty. Maybe he’ll land in California instead. His navigation crew could use the mapset what got him to the Four Seasons.

Let’s say the navigation system gets confused and they’re all lost in the air forever because they can’t stop deadnaming Fort Liberty.

The weed farmers in Fort Bragg, California will be very displeased with the attention and the wine tasting tourists will be annoyed with the disruption.

People in the Confederacy would have been embarrassed that Braxton Bragg got a base named after him. By the end of the war, Bragg held the title of General in name only and had no authority over anyone. His only talent was being friends with Jefferson Davis.

I don’t know the history, but I’m sure the daughters of the confederacy had something to do with it. They say history is written by the winners, and yet traitors had their name on military bases.

As I said when he had his 100 day rally... "Why does a sitting president need a fucking rally?" He was just elected.

Trump does not want to be president he just wants the ego of appearing like he is on top.

Him being president is however very useful to some powerful people.

The rallys make more sense if you think about them like a pacifier to keep the baby satisfied.

He's only in it for the money and the ego boost.

Its not explicitly ego like the other commenter said, but also facsist need to be constantly under attack, whether by immigrants or most likely now shifting to "anti American protestors" or whatever rhetoric they find effective to get their reactionary audience scared. They'll trust their supreme leader will protect them from whatever the enemy of the day is. By campaigning he can do what he did to win the election, lie so much that the main narrative parroted across the consolidated media environment will be his fearmongering. Same strategy, differnet time. I'm certain the attacks will be directed to US Citizens now, political enemies, specifically.

I registered but they don’t send a ticket or anything despite them saying it’s a reservation.

This might just be a ploy to harvest phone numbers and email addresses.

[–] macaro@lemmy.blahaj.zone 29 points 1 day ago

Good thing I immediately deleted the Google voice number and made up an email address.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 46 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Whatever event or activity that is announced by the government that asks you to register or provide personal information ....

DON'T!

[–] macaro@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 1 day ago

Instead use a burner number and a fake email. Or so I’m told.

Why not? They have everything on you anyway

voip numbers

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 30 points 1 day ago

This looks fake. Real events provide event information before you provide your personal information.

For example, many attendees might want to look up requirements or details about the event. It’s also really suspect that you can only get one ticket per mobile number. What if you have a child who doesn't have a phone number? What about accessibility? Just follow the instructions we text you?
