They may have some old IP like manufacturing specs, schematics, software, etc.
Right at the end of the video, there is a twist that may raise the graying eyebrows of Commodore fans around the globe. Perifractic reveals that he received a message direct from Commodore Corporation B.V. that states “yes we can grant you an exclusive license, but your team seems to know Commodore better than we do, we might like to sell you the whole company.”
What 😄
Sadly, we are left with this cliffhanger. Viewers are told to stay tuned for Part 2 of this video, “live and Let Buy.” But we don’t have a date for the video publication. Stay tuned, indeed.
:(
If this actually goes through, I think this could be a great thing. I've been watching retro recipes for a while, and I think Perifractic knows what he's doing.
Yeah I believe so as well, from all retro tech tubers I follow (lgr, techmoan, this does not compute, nostalgia nerd, Veronica explains, mvg, retro recipes) he seems to be the most qualified.
Is he more qualified than The 8-Bit Guy?
Peri does it for love, David does it for money. Who do you want in charge?
I've never heard of Peri until this thread so I have no opinion of his motivations, but I do watch The 8-Bit Guy and I never got the impression that he was in it for the money. What makes you think that?
oh damn you are right I forgot about David, my bad.
Mhm now thats a pickel, as David literally concepted and built his dream machine the commander x16. I dunno, I guess no on the technical aspect?
You guys, I think Perifractic was in a Star Wars movie haha.
Looking forward to hearing more as this progresses.
I would've looked up whether Commodore Corp. had changed hands via KVK: https://www.kvk.nl/bestellen/#/83289348000049466550
but unfortunately it's paywalled.
