Yea these guys don't look like law enforcement. They gonna get shot if its my turn cause these look like bad guys just kidnapping fools.

[–] SippyCup@feddit.nl 1 points 2 minutes ago

You know what, that probably would stand in court. "I saw some random dudes in masks attempting to kidnap a woman so I intervened."

If they wanna look like a some random thug they'll have to accept thug consequences.

[–] GaMEChld@lemmy.world 2 points 16 minutes ago

If people that looked like this showed up at my door, they'd be looking down the barrel of a shotgun. These morons are going to get shot.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 4 points 33 minutes ago

Just judging by the cover, my guess is that this album sucks.

"You see your honor, they were wearing ski masks, and I've been taught by Hollywood that a group of people wearing ski masks in the middle of the day with a black van means they are up to no good. So I took it to my own hands to shoot these motherfuckers down."

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

Look how wide that dude's stance is. Fucking loser. What a bunch of big tough guys with masks. Show your faces, and be proud of your actions bitches.

Edit: It's giving:

[–] Bravo@eviltoast.org 37 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Has anyone actually confirmed that those guys are actually ICE? Because they look like I could pretend to be ICE and get away with it.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 4 points 26 minutes ago

There are already reports that people are committing crimes disguised like this, and I'm starting to think that's part of the strategy.

They know they cheated to get into power, and they don't have nearly the support that they claim to have. They know they don't have enough trained manpower to suppress the national mob that will arise when the Tipping Point happens. By establishing that this is the "uniform" of their "Enforcers," ANYONE can align with them by embracing their ideology, no joining or training necessary.

Eventually, we will have volunteers joining them in their assaults on protesters, zip-tying their neighbors and dropping them off at the local ICE facility, and eventually just organizing their own little ICE Militias, and the government will be just fine with all of that.

[–] SpaceShort@feddit.uk 21 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Well. If there's nothing identifying them as an arm of the state, it's legal to shoot them in self defense should they try to kidnap you. You can also say that the law doesn't matter anymore as the US government is flagrantly violating it but that also means that the law no longer has legitimacy as the government is breaking it's end of the social contract. Therefore, normal morality in the absence of law applies which says that self defense is legitimate.

Libertarianism at last. We made it boys. Rand Paul can be seen wanking it furiously on his front lawn.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 1 points 25 minutes ago* (last edited 24 minutes ago)

Nah, Rand is afraid to go outside, where his neighbor will be at him up because he's such a dickhead.

[–] mrmanager@lemmy.today 9 points 3 hours ago

Lets have another peaceful protest, it will work this time.

[–] CouncilOfFriends@slrpnk.net 8 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Appears brown shirts weren't in stock at Kohl's

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 1 points 22 minutes ago

Brown shirts are so mid-20th century. This is the 21st century, were in the future! It's Red Hats now.

Remember: Red Hat spelled sideways is Hatred.

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 31 points 6 hours ago

If these people approached me I would shoot.

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 26 points 6 hours ago

4chan summer camp

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 20 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (4 children)

Everybody should always call the cops if they ever see this anywhere at anytime. That's insane.

[–] MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

This is actually the right move.

Literally find a payphone, pick it up, call 911 and say there's a group of dangerous looking masked individuals at (name of location), and I'm scared that it's not safe here.

Then immediately drop the phone and walk away. It seems rude but if you hang up or stop responding the correct action on the 911 operators side is to expect the worst and literally send everyone to that location, lights and sirens.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 3 points 21 minutes ago

A payphone? Do you have a 21st century idea?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 hour ago

The cops? You sure that's a great idea for a brown person?

Why would the cops do anything?

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 4 points 4 hours ago

To help them shoot at you?

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 50 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

It's 2025. America. You see these men on the street.

If you assume they are going to rob a bank dial 911.

If you assume they are going to lynch someone dial 911.

If you assume they are going to kidnap someone dial 911.

If you assume they are law enforcement then get your eyes checked. They aren't wearing any identifying uniform, no insignia, no badges.

If you assume they are impersonating law enforcement then dial 911 and get your eyes checked.

[–] MisanthropiCynic@lemmy.today 9 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

Definitely don’t call 911. That just gives them more backup. They look like terrorists in the streets. It’s actually illegal here to wear a mask over your face while demonstrating or armed so they are under stand your ground territory

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 0 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

If you stand your ground you still go to jail. Even if you are released you still got more inconvenienced than them.

As a white person I'm at minimal risk from them. But in order to stand your ground for another person they must have a legal right to be where they are. And if they are, in fact, not legally here, then bad things happen to you.

[–] ViceroTempus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (2 children)

If you don't, it's possible you're going to a concentration camp. Think I rather get tried by a jury of my peers.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 1 points 20 minutes ago

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

And what if they take your ID, claim you aren't a citizen so you don't get due process and then they deport you to a foreign prison?

[–] HowdWeGetHereAnyways@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Yo they have discussed suspending habeus corpus.

The only black bag I'm going in is a body bag.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 hour ago

Discussed? My dude it's already been happening for months.

[–] Scott_of_the_Arctic@lemmy.world 18 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

If someone wearing a balaclava and civilian clothes grabs you, I'm pretty sure it's reasonable to stab them.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago (4 children)

You can only use proportional force to defend yourself under stand your ground laws. If you stab someone that is only using their body parts then you go to jail. Will a jury convict? It will take a year or two to find out.

[–] Scott_of_the_Arctic@lemmy.world 5 points 42 minutes ago (1 children)

I'm not saying it's legal. I'm saying if someone wearing a balaclava tries to force me into an unmarked van, they're getting stabbed.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 1 points 23 minutes ago

Then you have evaluated the situation and have made an informed decision about the options.

[–] ricecake@sh.itjust.works 2 points 16 minutes ago

Multiple people is significantly more force than even a knife.

Proportional force means the force must be proportional to the threat, not to the force the other person is using. If someone threatens death with their hands, you can use deadly force to defend against a deadly threat.

One would be reasonable in concluding that masked people trying to force you or someone else into a van is an imminent threat of death, great bodily harm or sexual assault.

You can't use deadly force to defend against harassment, or theft because that's disproportionate.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 1 points 17 minutes ago

That's not true in all states. In Florida, if you feel genuinely threatened, you can respond with deadly force, no matter what the other guy is threatening you with.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Well the thing is there are more than 1 of them. Would it not be proportional to stab them if you get ganged on by 4 to 5 of them?

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 1 points 22 minutes ago
[–] Aeri@lemmy.world 43 points 10 hours ago

They look like random Grand Theft Auto enemies that you wipe out by the dozen.
