I can’t help but think of this “Straight Man Fashion” video when I see this picture. https://youtube.com/shorts/80w3SyCai2o

Appears brown shirts weren't in stock at Kohl's

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 3 points 6 hours ago

Brown shirts are so mid-20th century. This is the 21st century, were in the future! It's Red Hats now.

Remember: Red Hat spelled sideways is Hatred.

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 35 points 12 hours ago

If these people approached me I would shoot.

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 30 points 12 hours ago

4chan summer camp

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 25 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (8 children)

Everybody should always call the cops if they ever see this anywhere at anytime. That's insane.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Why would the cops do anything?

To help them shoot at you?

The cops? You sure that's a great idea for a brown person?

Not sure if you're being facetious here

It's 2025. America. You see these men on the street.

If you assume they are going to rob a bank dial 911.

If you assume they are going to lynch someone dial 911.

If you assume they are going to kidnap someone dial 911.

If you assume they are law enforcement then get your eyes checked. They aren't wearing any identifying uniform, no insignia, no badges.

If you assume they are impersonating law enforcement then dial 911 and get your eyes checked.

[–] MisanthropiCynic@lemmy.today 14 points 14 hours ago (8 children)

Definitely don’t call 911. That just gives them more backup. They look like terrorists in the streets. It’s actually illegal here to wear a mask over your face while demonstrating or armed so they are under stand your ground territory

[–] Scott_of_the_Arctic@lemmy.world 21 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

If someone wearing a balaclava and civilian clothes grabs you, I'm pretty sure it's reasonable to stab them.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago (5 children)

You can only use proportional force to defend yourself under stand your ground laws. If you stab someone that is only using their body parts then you go to jail. Will a jury convict? It will take a year or two to find out.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Well the thing is there are more than 1 of them. Would it not be proportional to stab them if you get ganged on by 4 to 5 of them?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 0 points 6 hours ago

That's not true in all states. In Florida, if you feel genuinely threatened, you can respond with deadly force, no matter what the other guy is threatening you with.

They look like random Grand Theft Auto enemies that you wipe out by the dozen.

[–] PunkRockSportsFan@fanaticus.social 38 points 17 hours ago

They know what they’re doing is wrong. And outside the law

They know if they are identified they will be dealt with. Outside the law.

[–] Rooty@lemmy.world 33 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (2 children)

That's a lynching posse, and not a gathering of lawn enforcement officers.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 3 points 6 hours ago

That's exactly what this is, a new form of lynching. In a way, it's even worse than lynching. They may not be hanging them from a tree, but they are destroying the lives of entire families.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

"Lawn enforcement officer" sounds like an analog for "assistant (to the) manager" in an Office clone about an HOA.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 14 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Looks like one of those nazi rallies. They're all white too. Lmao its so obvious.

Take the mask off “patriot”

[–] jimjam5@lemmy.world 33 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

No badges, no name tags, no exposed faces… let’s see “ ICE “ try this in a state with strong self defense laws.

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 2 points 5 hours ago

They are literally going around like this in every state and have detained at 51,000 people publicly on the record.

See them Try? They already Do.
Don't believe what you want that they just haven't been to the right place to get stopped.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 2 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

Don't forget, the State decides if it's self-defense or not, and Self-Defense states tend to be Red. Florida has some of the "strongest" Self-Defense laws, and the State would side with these goons every time.

These guys look like they're about to rob a bank.

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 44 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

These are criminals. There's nothing to indicate that they are any type of law enforcement.

[–] Decq@lemmy.world 6 points 9 hours ago

I don't know how self defense laws function over there. But surely if someone dressed like that approaches you, you are free to shoot them/defend yourself right? Surely wearing a balaclava shows bad intentions accordingly to the law?

There's bound to actually be free candy in one of those damn unmarked vans.

[–] DahGangalang@infosec.pub 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Is that like Murphy's razor?

Anything that can be true is likely to be true at least once, and at the worst possible moment?

People should call and report suspicious armed men about to rob or do something nefarious. Get the locals all twisted up with reports. Get them scared then sick them on the federallies.
