I want some corded studio headphones that are comfy. I previously had some Audio-Technica ones but I gave those away a while ago. Any specific recs?

I'm sure there are better by now, but Sony MDR-7506 has been a gold standard for a long time and there are a ton of used pairs out there, but even new they're under 100

I'll check it out, thanks!

came here to say this, pretty much exactly what OP is asking for. it's a product that's been on the market unchanged since 1991 because it's industry standard

the only drawback is that the cord is not detachable, and there is only a coiled option. some people even make detachable cable mods and sell them. I don't know why Sony doesn't do this themselves, or at least offer a straight cable version

I can personally recommend the Hifiman HE400SE's or the Philips SHP9600's. The 9600's are $40 cheaper (assuming you're American, just checked Amazon), but the HE400SE's have a significantly fuller sound, particularly with their bass response. Important to note that these are both open back options, and so they will bleed noise around you and let noise through to your ears. Both are quite comfy imo, maybe slight edge toward the 9600's because of the lighter build.

I'll see if I can try them, thanks!

They get a bit out of budget but if I have the chance I'll try them out, thank you!
