Chuck Schumer is Palestinian? Since When? πŸ€”

[–] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 25 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I like how they've gone full mask off and given up on the anti-semite attacks and are just calling anyone not calling for Gaza to be ethnically cleansed a Palestinian like it's an insult. Not even hiding the Islamophobia any more.

It's also double funny that he's calling fucking Schumer a Palestinian, it's like calling Biden a communist, which he also probably said. It just goes to show no matter how much the dems try to moderate to accommodate the conservatives they'll always be the enemy.

Plenty of times. The point of making the absurd claim is because the correction to the error contributes nothing but a deflection from the initial claim.

Trump tweets are pure, unadulterated gish gallup.

He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he's not very smart...

Trump describing himself.

The future is now, old man.

[–] cmeu@lemmy.world 39 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

Remember when people didn't get elected because they weren't "presidential" enough?

😒

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago

Weird things can happen when you've spent four decades making people poorer and more desperate.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Democrats fall in love with a candidate, Republicans fall in line.

[–] Pollo_Jack@lemmy.world 17 points 10 hours ago (5 children)

And the DNC removes the candidate democrats fell in love with.

The one to rally watch is orange rumps puppet master. Thiel and his band of project 2025 cronies are the ones operating the strings.

[–] crapwittyname@lemm.ee 7 points 8 hours ago

Jesus Christ. Put this poor sad dog out of its misery already. Pasture, barn, in the house where it can't do any damage, whatever. Just take it away from all responsibility.

It's a Mayor these guys are freaking out over.

The president is freaking out over a Mayor.

That's true fear. They know we intend to use the law to put the real criminals in prison.

[–] markovs_gun@lemmy.world 21 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair, NYC is a huge city and so its mayor is a major figure in the US. The most recent population I could find was 8.8 million people, vs. the total US at 340 million. NYC is, therefore, home to 2.6% of the US population. As a polity, NYC represents more people than the 9 least populous states (Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, N Dakota, S Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, and Maine) combined. In fact, there are only 12 US states that have a bigger population than NYC alone, and one of those is New York state. From a population perspective, the mayor of NYC is equivalent to the governor of Virginia. That's why everyone is freaking out about this so much. Plus he's young and very handily beat the candidate backed by the DNC establishment, showing cracks in what they assumed was a solid neoliberal core.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 9 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

NYC has more population than like 38 individual states, what you say is true.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 5 points 10 hours ago

Not a mayor, a mayoral candidate who beat his fascist opponent for the opportunity to be represented in the election.

[–] foofiepie@lemmy.world 17 points 11 hours ago (4 children)

AOC+3? Is this supposed to be code?

[–] joyjoy@lemmy.zip 9 points 10 hours ago

BRB, looking up wholesome AOC fiction on AO3

[–] doughless@lemmy.world 9 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

I'm pretty sure it's a reference to "The Squad"

[–] foofiepie@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

Oh FFS. I’m sure there’s nothing they have in common that the orange shitbag could possibly be referring to.

[–] __Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 hours ago

I don't know, but it sounds good

He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he's not very smart, he's got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin' Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him.

As a Canadian I know almost nothing about Zohran Mamdani, but I do know that he has more class than a man ever will who, while President of the USA, writes this, or the people who see a non-white left-winger win a democratic vote and immediately call for his deportation. The world can see this. Trump and MAGA are bringing shame on your country.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 108 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

We know. We’re miserable. (Us sane people, anyway).

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 51 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

+1

every day is more embarrassing than the last. i have felt shame in the past for the things our ancestors did, but there's something different about living in the midst of it. i fucking hate this place. any time i hear "well leave if you don't like it" i'm like "I FUCKING WOULD IF I COULD"

[–] lolrightythen@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

I haven't felt any embarrassment at all. This bullshit has always been a way of life.

Straight up impending doom this time aeound. Perhaps its that I'm older, but I doubt it.

This tweet by Trump is close to calling for an assassination.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 6 points 11 hours ago

close to calling for an assassination

i'd say it really can't be interpreted as anything else but "who will rid me of this meddlesome ______"

Whatever the outcome of this presidential reign of stupid. The American system needs to fundamentally change from the ground up.

Trump is about half way to making America sink lower then North Korea on the world stage.

I read here that Trump is calling someone mentally unfit.

Let's see that slander case. TACO.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 7 points 10 hours ago

Death camps incoming.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 142 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

"All the (centrist fucks) are extreme leftist Marxists!"

"OMG a (milquetoast moderate) won, the Marxists are taking over!"

"Holy shit a (moderately left leaning person) won an election! It's over for America the Communists won!"

"The crazy Marxist Democrat extreme leftists have gone too far with this (standard progressive)"

...etc etc...

now we have an "actual" socialist, but the boy cried wolf so many times they can't label him anything more extreme because they already threw those words at people like... (Checks notes)... Nancy Pelosi... Lol

He looks terrible.

This is a racist pointing out someone's brown skin.

His voice is grating.

RFK JR

He's not very smart.

My dog is smarter than Donald Trump. Literally.

So anyway, the person saying this is a felon rapist traitor who has repeatedly violated the Constitution. But hey, it's a racist dog whistle and conservatives LOVE that shit.

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 38 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Looks terrible, his voice is grating, he's not very smart. Who do those words make me think of? DJT and RFKjr win in a landslide.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 10 points 12 hours ago

Trump is a master of projection.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

The really funny thing about this is that he probably would have been almost as mad if Cuomo won the primary, but it shows that he really doesn't have any faith in his party's candidate in the generals lmao.

[–] meyotch@slrpnk.net 23 points 14 hours ago

The tighter they squeeze, the more systems slip through their grasp.

[–] dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.de 70 points 17 hours ago (11 children)

The irony of saying someone’s not that intelligent when it appears you don’t even know how to use punctuation.

I’m pretty terrible with punctuation but I’m not throwing stones from my glass house.

I can hear the tears on his gross, unwiped phone screen.

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 59 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (3 children)

Trump and the Republicans are now calling him a communist and the GOP are asking Trump to revoke his citizenship and deport him under the Communist Control Act signed by Eisenhower in 1954. I think it's even money that Trump tries it.

[–] NielsBohron@lemmy.world 22 points 15 hours ago

I think it's even money that Trump tries it.

Considering he is already illegally deporting people and illegally trying to revoke birthright citizenship, you are more optimistic than I.

Trump declares Democrats have crossed the line because the outcome of an election didn't end like he wanted it to.

Now I look back at about 8 years of Republicans crossing line after line...
