The scrapping of the Admiral Kuznetsov would leave Russia without an operational aircraft carrier for the first time since the Soviet era
Pretty sure this ship has never really been fully operational, so not much of a change.

Does anyone think the Russians were capable of non ballistic missile force projection futher than 1000km from their borders? A carrier sounds like a few thousand casualties for them if it were ever pressed into service.
