The funny thing is, it's not a trope that was ever actually used unironically. Stopping to narrate is a thing, record scratches are a thing, but they were never used in that specific combination until it was used to make fun of it.
I generally mean this freeze frame "Yes, this is me. You probably wondered how I got in this situation…"
I literally only know that trope from "What's with Andy?"
