“Doctor! Set course and go to warp !” “Yes doctor!” “Doctor! Doctor reports trouble with the starboard nacel!” “We’ll tell the doctor I need that fixed yesterday!” “Damnit doctor, I’m a doctor not that doctor, you hailed medbay by mistake”

I don't get it why would you staff a ship with a bunch of dilithium miners.

Weren’t they the bad guys in Star Trek XI?

[–] setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Why would children be the bad guys?

He must be thinking of ST: Galaxy Quest

I didn't realise how much I was relying on his (lack of) hairline to recognise him, till I got to the bottom row and couldn't figure out who the guy in the middle was.

I'd love to hear what his voice sounded like back then

This crew would spend all day in self-aggrandizing presentations and would never get anything else done.

"To know him, is to love him. To love him, is to know him. Those that knew him, loved him. And those that loved him..."

"end emergency starship crew holographic program"

Don't forget a floater, for when he has to detail over to Cheyenne Mountain. He's the only effective middle manager the Federation has for the SG project, expect him to be gone for at least 180 days. EDIT: that wig...that ain't right. That's a dollar store wig, but even if it weren't, it just looks wrong on that well crafted dome. Let your dome shine!

Imagine the ship choir though 🤌

[–] porthos@startrek.website 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That would be the saltiest ship ever.

[–] negativenull@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Salty enough to cure pork

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

That crew don't need a doctor.

He's my favourite on Voyager along with Janeway.

It's Coach Cutlip!

[–] loopedcandle@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 1 year ago

Security should have been his First Contact cameo.

[–] Venicon@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 year ago

This is beautiful. I’ve been staring at it for 4 hours now.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

There's two rolls that hologram cannot fill though; a quirky accent and a redshirt.

[–] Thisfox@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

He is the best.

No wait, second best. Q is the best!

But close second.

[–] Kepabar@startrek.website 3 points 1 year ago

Y'all joke, but we pretty much had this with the La Sirena in Picard.

[–] Odinkirk@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 year ago

That's one minor step away from a Von Neumann probe.
