[Feature Request] Have option to open web links in external browser directly but images open with in-app browser/image viewer (lemmy.ml)

It would be great to have the option for the image viewer and web links open differently. Like the image links open with the in-app browser (as it currently does if you have the option toggled off) but also have a toggle to open web links directly in an external browser.

This app gets better and better. Great work to all involved!

Just to add to this, I'm not quite sure of the mechanics but it would be great to open links that are app links without going to the browser, like images. Ie a YouTube link might take you straight to YouTube.

For me, it does just that. I have external browser enabled.

Ah, I didn't have the setting on to open in an external browser. I'd still prefer article links to open in the app, but apps opening correctly and image links still being in the app is better, thanks!

I keep encouraging people to try out imgur viewer. It doesn't work with every image and video hosting service, but it gives a great, unified flow for the majority. It's also largely app agnostic, so if you keep more than one in use, your video and image experience stays the same.
