Does remnant 2 work on steam deck?

I haven't played the game since not long after release but unless they have optimised it significantly since then with updates then not really.

When I tried back then you could just about get it running but the frame rate wasn't great and a lot of the textures just wouldn't load properly meaning that a lot of walls were just transparent. It was not really a playable experience.

Barely. I played a few levels with it, but the FSR settings you had to use to have the game function at an acceptable framerate left things looking blocky and shitty.

I hope they do something to get it working, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Technically yes, but it's a subpar experience due to overall performance on the SD.

The DLC has some issues, performance and bugs with new gear, but it's still well worth it if you like the base game. For just 10€ you get a lot of content to an already really good and fun game and they will surely fix all those things, gunfire games' track record has always been excellent.
