So, what I'm hearing is, we're in for some really awesome / utterly mindfuck episodes.

I think you mean ghost fuck episode.

Look, the man also directed First Contact (the movie, not the episode) and Those Old Scientists, which are generally well received. I think we can begrudge him one ghost-fuckin' episode.

... or more than one.

If you gave me the option of watching “First Contact” or “Sub Rosa”, I would choose planet Scotland ten times out of ten.

Personally I think “Sub Rosa” is a banger with a story that would not be at all out of place in TOS.

I forgot he even directed that one. I was more thinking of Frame of Mind.

“Frame of Mind” was directed by James Conway.

Great episode, though.

One Take Frakes returns, you love to see it

You honestly just know when it's a Frakes directed episode. Things just feel quality.

he directed the lower decks crossover episode?? give him a whole movie

[–] chaogomu@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

He's directed two already, well, two Trek movies. First Contact and Insurrection.

He's had episodes as director in every live action Trek property except Enterprise. He even directed two episodes of The Orville.
