Maybe because android let apps scrap so much data.

Yeah I think he’s saying better for us, not better for you
It’s definitely better for him. I’m sure half of Meta’s C-suite switched to Android after Apple’s privacy push tanked their earnings. He probably had to wait 3 extra months to get another yacht because of that mean Tim Apple.
It's not a privacy push, it's a monopoly push. Ot made it harder for third parties to collect data, but now apple is collecting it and selling ads.
Genuine question: where is apple selling ads besides the AppStore and which data are they collecting compared to meta?
On the collection part: Take a look at this video or the sources linked in the description if you'd rather read. Tl;dr: about the same things google collects. Not quite as invasive, but they're getting there.
On selling: this article breaks it down, tl;dr is that they are focusing on their walled garden strategy by putting ads into apple apps.

Mosseri said one sentence and they managed to write an article about it.
In one sense android is strictly better then iOS. Running independent app stores, and loading your own apps. i.e. F-droid. Firefox, and chrome web engines (iOS requires all browsers use their engine WebKit)
Ehmmm, he's a bit late on that. Android have been superior to iOS for at least 5-6 years by now.
