I don't get it. Am Millennial.

[-] doingthestuff@lemmy.world 18 points 11 months ago

Apparently they meant European millennial. I've never even heard of K-Fee.

[-] Deuces@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

I'm an American late millennial, I definitely remember this. I'm guessing it's 85-95 millennials.

I think I might understand it even less now.

Then let me help you and @Starglasses@lemmy.blahaj.zone out a little.

It is an 'auto' commercial by K-Fee. Here's the video to said commercial.

[-] Drusas@kbin.social 41 points 11 months ago

Ah. Doesn't seem like a very universal Millennial experience.

[-] Contextual_Idiot@sh.itjust.works 21 points 11 months ago

God fucking dammit. I put ear buds in for this fucking video.

[-] Stamets@startrek.website 20 points 11 months ago

I am so sorry... at least you got an authentic experience?

[-] Contextual_Idiot@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago

I sure did. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜ค I guess I'm now the terrible warning to future viewers.

[-] stebo02@sopuli.xyz 20 points 11 months ago

why would this peaceful video induce any anxie- JESUS SWEET CHRIST

[-] Akasazh@feddit.nl 8 points 11 months ago

Could someone do a transcription for those of us not able to watch the video?

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 5 points 11 months ago

It's something you have to watch. It can't really be transcribed.

[-] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 20 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

A car drives slowly down a peaceful road and goes behind a tree. Then a zombie jump-scaresout of nowhere. It's an add for iced coffee.

I'm a transcription wizard.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 5 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Sure, but that ruins all the fun. It's not really a good transcription if it doesn't convey they experience.

[-] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 7 points 11 months ago

I edited my transcription to give the full effect.

Iโ€™m too tired to get startled so I just took a deep sigh.

[-] Enkers@sh.itjust.works 17 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

I even turned up the volume and saw it coming. "This is probably a jump scare, isn't it?... Yep. sigh" Now I just feel old.

[-] ThePantser@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

That video is 18 now, crazy to think someday if YouTube is still around that could say 30y or 50y

[-] takeda@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

Yay, for successfully pulling all teeth from antitrust laws and preventing any competitor from replacing them.

[-] Lauchs@lemmy.world 11 points 11 months ago

I hadn't seen that before, that was fun.

[-] Oxnvat@lemmy.world 9 points 11 months ago

Fucking same, shit had me laughing for a minute straight

[-] Lauchs@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Happily I was lemmying on the toilet. What a good laugh/terror poop.

[-] YottaDren@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

This was definitely an energy drink commercial right?

[-] Jimmycrackcrack@lemmy.ml 5 points 11 months ago

That fossilised video is still a little bit dangerous. Clicked the link and for some reason it was automatically set to mute which is what I wanted anyway. I accidentally fat fingered the skip to next video button which was annoying and I had to press the previous video button unaware that that for some reason turned off mute.

I am loving how easily this is triggering all of us. Trust me, I had the same reaction

[-] bratosch@lemm.ee 4 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Even when I just see stills from the video I don't trust them because something -might- happen

[-] Jimmycrackcrack@lemmy.ml 15 points 11 months ago

Oh man, been a long time

[-] Brian437@lemmy.world 12 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Definitely no scary monsters are gonna popup and make you shit your pants

[-] lemmy_get_my_coat@lemmy.world 12 points 11 months ago

Fuck, you just raised my blood pressure

[-] Primarily0617@kbin.social 12 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

as somebody who is not good at driving i just assumed the anxiety came from the tight turn the car had just made

[-] DoomBot5@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago

Boy were you wrong

[-] wheeldawg@sh.itjust.works 11 points 11 months ago

The first time I saw this a sub teacher showed it to the class.

[-] LemmyTryThisOut@lemmy.world 9 points 11 months ago

Searching "Peaceful car ride" back in the day would get you this.

[-] SirStumps@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

I love it when a jump scare video gets me.

replace it with the Pheonix package meme see if it'll be scarier

[-] wowwoweowza@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

Works for me.

I say you redirect the clueless to the original. Spread the joy.
