I have a suggestion about the team links in this post and c/nba side panel.
In addition to linking like this example:

Which results in the following link:
Why? Because this will ensure that the user is taken to the community while staying in their own instance, thus being able to subscribe.
Yea, I've been struggling with this for a couple of days too. At the moment, only the Celtics one is linked properly. Probably because it's on lemmy.ml. The others take me to lemmy.world (or death916.xyz for the Kings), outside of my instance, so I can't join the community.
It's a tedious work in progress. I'm sure OP will correct the links eventually. Or maybe hopefully we'll get an overall lemmy fix soon that autotranslates links.

Yeah, it's gonna be very cumbersome until we get better tools. Hopefully in future lemmy just autotranslates simple c/@ as a link in current instance.

It just seems that way to you, because they are in the same instance as you (lemmy.world). Celtics was exception, because it's the only one in a different instance (lemmy.ml). For any one who is not from lemmy.world all the other team links won't work. Like me (lemm.ee). I mean, they will work, but they will take people to lemmy.world instance, where they are not logged in and can't subscribe.
Ah, I see the issue now. If I mod you up would you be interested in handling it?

Congrats to the Denver Nuggets! Murray has become one of my favorite players to watch individually, and the team as a whole just seems so in sync with each other.
The LAClippers link doesn't seem to work. I was thinking of making one myself, but I want to be sure there isn't one already.

I'm with Barns, it's not very difficult to set up a community here, and your moderating duties will be next to nothing for the next months most likely. All you have to do it create a community here and get a couple images from google to make the sub look nice. Go make one, let the community build and get someone else to take over mod duties
