The question how the dog would wear pants has finally been answered.

Ah! I came here to make the same comment! Well done😜

When my girl had a wound at the base of her tail, I put underwear on her backwards with the tail through the awkward dick hole

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 24 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Damn it. I should’ve bought boy’s pants at target instead. I basically had to make a tail fly.

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago

It worked, looks very fly!

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

I hope that, when you were learning how to make a tail fly, you also learned how to make a tail LAND. Could be troublesome otherwise..

Men's undies have a flap for their dick to poke through (for peeing purposes and possibly also other purposes)

[–] Lojcs@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Never seen such a thing, is this a regional thing?

Really? Well I'm from Utica and I've never seen men's undies with a 'dick hole'.

[–] j4yt33@feddit.de 5 points 11 months ago

No I think that's pretty universal

[–] Steamymoomilk@sh.itjust.works 26 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Your dog looks like a flordia man LMAO

Florida man doesn’t wear a shirt

[–] bionicjoey@lemmy.ca 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I was thinking an open Hawaiian shirt so the belly hangs out

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

She’s a saluki, so they don't really have a gut. Probably got to go with a wispy Florida tweaker thing.

Finally, an answer to the β€œif dogs wore pants” question.

[–] cRazi_man@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Question: what of dogs wore the pants?

Answer: this.

No thanks, I generally prefer pre-digested food.

Yes, how does your dog take a dump with pants on?

[–] misophist@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago

Not OP, but my dog is potty trained, so when she was in a similar situation a couple years ago, I'd remove the pants when she asked to go outside to potty. Then I would stand by the door and watch her while she did her business to make sure she didn't try biting at her stitches. When she was done, the pants went back on and I let her freely roam the house again. Pretty straightforward.

We had to do the same thing with our last dog. The cone freaked him out too much. He would stand still afraid to move shaking in fear, and he never was able to adjust. Pants and even long sleeve shirts for the front legs were non issues for him.

[–] caesaravgvstvs@feddit.de 2 points 11 months ago

I'll have to try this out if we need to, because our greyhound does the exact same thing when wearing a cone

[–] outcide@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago

Put the cone on yourself and you’ll know instantly why dogs hate it. :-)

We did the long sleeved thing four one of our collies and it worked great.

Toddler chaps

[–] June@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

Tried this with my dog but pants always fall off her butt.
