Slight interest, US Eastern (Daylight Observed=YES/Standard=In Fall, Normal DST)

Experience:

  • /r/theoryofreddit (former) ~2 years
  • /r/genderqueer (until modpocalypse, protested despite resistance) ~12 years [Only active moderator]

I can spot slanted articles and sources pretty quickly, and would be glad to assist if selected. May the best volunteer(s) win!

I nominate anyone other than me!

So I'm not sure why I said anything.

Sorry. :(

Every post is a contribution to Lemmy? 🤔

Willing to help out.

+1 / +8 UTC. Former mod on one of the reddit default subs, before the exodus. (I guess I still am one, technically?)

I'm interested. I'm new to Lemmy and still actively learning about the fediverse. My experience lies in having watched the rise and fall of many platforms since the early 90s.

My interest in this case lies in contributing to a platform that grows big enough to be ubiquitous, open enough to be self regulating, yet responsive enough to address problems before they get out of hand.

Great to hear! Will also forward you for consideration. We got a bit more interest then we expected, so we're churning through some applicants and will get back to you as soon as possible (:

It's good that there is a lot of interest.

US Central time. I'm sure you've seen enough of my reports to know I want this community to succeed.

I have some modding experience, but not enough to say I'm a pro.

Sounds good! Will send you to the other mods for consideration, thank you!

I was a mod of a small community on the alien site. I don't know how similar it is

[-] Thekingoflorda@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

It’s bit more politically charged here and there are a lot more reports (but also a lot more mods probably). Are you interested?
