I feel like Janeway would be a little excited. It's the perfect enemy for her. Why do murder the plain old tired ways? They adapt! You can devise entirely new ways to destroy them! Every encounter is a whole new way of figuring out how to reassemble their internal structure into a coffee maker, so you can have a cup brewing as you soak your hands in the ever rising tide of synthetic bodily fluids!
"You think you Borg scare me?
I once murdered my own Chief Security Officer and Chief Morale Officer for being too clingy with eachother!"
Chief Morale Officer
Neelix strikes me as a the type of guy who tells everyone he is the CMO letting everyone assume it means Chief Medical Officer.
What? Am I supposed to be scared? Intimidated? Last week my entire ship has been beamed into the hangar of a much bigger ship and we have been taken hostage by dinosaurs. Are you listening? Fucking DINOSAURS! So stop screaming, you doof!
Hehe, Janeway keeps them as PETS! :-P
Janeway: Don't make me bitch slap you back to the delta quadrant.
test
test success?
Huh ... kinda.
For some reason that seems rather random ... tenforward is not federating its posts to lemmy.ml ... since about 5 days ago. It does seem arbitrary as it's not a lemmy.world problem.
I figured I'd try a test comment to see if it came through ... and evidently it has. Which only confirms the weirdness of the problem.
I'd try a test post from lemmy.ml but I'd need to make a good meme for it first.
Interesting. Lemmy.world is still on 0.18.5. Hopefully that gets updated to 0.19.2 soon, as that seems to solve a lot of federation issues.
For sure. Thing is the issue is simply a problem with 19.2 or 18.5. Lemm.ee is 19.2 and federates fine with this community. And of course plenty of other lemmy.world communities are federating fine too. There seems to be just some weird bug that's been triggered by something that happened with this community.

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable, neither is supporting people who actively want to kill those groups. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.
