I had the gba version and it was a lot of fun. More like a puzzle than a typical platformer, and all stages are basically one screen, so it's good when doing other things. I'd watch TV, and play during commercials.

Yeah I’m looking forward to this as I really enjoyed the GBA version too. I hope they keep that format.
I liked the original game these games were based off of (Donkey Kong ‘94 on gameboy), but what I remember of the Mario vs DK games on GBA was that it focused too much on the mario toys and wasn’t really as fun as DK ‘94.
Donkey Kong '94 was like a sequel to the original DK games.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong tried to be a new series that was inspired by the original Donkey Kong.
Only the first mario vs DK was on GBA and it didn't focus too much on the mini marios. You're thinking of the DS ones. The games are fun but they're much closer to puzzle platformers than the original DK.
I haven't played any of the games in series either, but I am really interested.
I too have not played any of the games in this series and I am somewhat interested.
I too haven't played any game in the series and I haven't seen the trailer yet. What do you guys think?
I played one of these for the DS and it was fun. The one I played had a level editor that always reminded me of basic Mario maker
