No one really knows how horseys move and if they tell you they know, they are lying

[–] Sylver@lemmy.world 18 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Somebody tried telling me horses move like an L once. Not mine, just W’s here.

Funny, I was told it's a Г-shape. Even those to pretend to know don't agree. There is nothing else to say about it.

Well, if you want to get all mathemagical about it, a horsey moves as a mash-up of:

formula because lemmy doesn't do latex

That's right, horses move by doing what's known as the vector dance, in any direction they please. Checkmate, math style! 🐴

and if you look closely that looks like the kanji for ground 土 twice, so you know that they can't fly

I'm not a mathematician but that vector looks imaginary to me. Face it, it's not true. Someone made it up.

The horseys move?

You should ask Trump, he is a stable genius

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Great, now he's rambling about magnets or something.

[–] don@lemm.ee 8 points 10 months ago

He’s claiming water is the vaccine against magnets.

en passant the fence away.

It worked - holy hell!

[–] nieceandtows@programming.dev 9 points 10 months ago

If you roll 1, then remove the fence and move the horses anywhere you want, but wherever you move them, put a piece of poop under them on that location.

You should ask Nepo or Dubov

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website 8 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I tried asking Nepo, but then his face got stuck like

[–] OurTragicUniverse@kbin.social 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He's reverting back into his muppet form.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Omg, you're right. It fits.

I'm not sure but I like the ranching. All rooks to the rookery!

[–] waterSticksToMyBalls@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

You must beat ingo in a race

[–] vexikron@lemmy.zip 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Have the Pawn at A2 climb on top of the rook at A1, move the Rook with the Pawn onto A3, Have the King at E1 order the Pawn to defenestrate himself, making sure to land within or at least on the fence, for recounting a lewd tale to the Queen at D1 sometime before the current battle arose.

Great, now the horses are spooked.
