Canβt blame him really, hope they can build on their current form. But from what Iβve been reading here McLaren got a bit lucky with their upgrade, fingers crossed.

Yeah I believe the update worked better than expected. It's a good problem to have, but it's still a little worrying that they don't know why (or maybe they do and I'm mistaken).
But, things definitely seem to be moving in the right direction at McLaren. At least they identified the previous philosophy was a dead-end and they made the choice to switch, knowing the first half of this season would be a right off. There's the new wind tunnel and some decent staff signings coming on board too.
I wish he got a decent enough car already. I am really curious how would he do in a current Mercedes car.
I don't think he'd be doing much better than what Hamilton is doing now. McLaren and Mercedes probably have the best driving pairing in my opinion.
Agreed, which is high praise for Piastri. Outdriving veterans like Checo and Sainz.
Piastri really surprised me. He was hyped up so much, I thought it was just another setup for disappointment.
In recent memory, I can't think of many drivers with a better rookie season so far, apart from all time greats like Max, Lewis. He's consistent and trading blows with an acclaimed experienced driver like Lando.
"Of course. I want to win races with McLaren. I want to win in papaya, I want to win championships."
What's the papaya reference here?
Papaya refers to the colour orange. Some people refer to the orange car as papaya.
He should drive for a competitive team. We don't know if McLaren's recent upgrade would translate to next year's success, hard to say. Given the right car, Lando should be able to challenge RB. Athletes have a tendency to be loyal to their team when to the team, they're always replaceable. Who's to say Oscar isn't going to be McLaren's number 1 driver?
What competitive team would that be though? Ferrari? Mercedes? It's not impossible for McLaren to be a challenger to RB next year. I don't think they'll be beating them every race but it's possible that they'll be a lot closer.
While we're on silly season... Norris replacing Perez in the RB would send me through the roof
