That was a good letter they wrote and is even understandable to us not versed in legalese. I especially liked the citation of the US Constitution First Amendment.

The reason why these legal threats work on large publications and agencies like Reuters is they have staff and business units in India. TechDirt being a small outfit based solely in the US has the luxury of telling Appin to eat shit and suffer little to no consequences.

Now why some of these other US based publications are toeing the line set by Khare is baffling.
