Scotland were robbed there. That on field decision was a tough call but imo should have been a try after seeing it clearly move well away from the foot and to the ground on the tmo.
I really wanted Scotland to win and would've been delighted if it had been given, but I could only say with about 90% that it was grounded - not enough to overturn the on field decision.
I missed the game, but the highlights included the TMO decision and the camera angle where the ball was clearly on the ground. It was awfully dark though, they must just not have seen it in the shadows.
I was rooting for France this time. That isn't the way I want any game to end.
I think everyone is pretty sure that it was a try, but the on-field decision was a no, and I'm happy to see that decision being the one that's official, even if it is probably wrong. I wouldn't be saying that if I were a Scotland fan though.
We saw it move to the ground, but it could have been dropped. We don't know for sure.
Lol, epic fuckup, locked instead of pinning. A few beers deep now after being robbed (maybe!)
England winning ugly again though
There's been enough ink spilled on the onvious talking points yesterday, but away from that apparently Aldritt's injury was relativly minor - some stitches but no muscle/tendon/bones damaged, and he attended the post-match presser.
I saw the way he'd been pulled over the ruck, and the blood and what looked like bruising on his knee, and was worried that was season over for him, or worse.
one thing i will say about /that/ decision is that i was screaming for the ball being held up in the immediately preceeding play. Not had time to find the replay yet.
France looked awful for most of that game. They got out of jail free there.
Ireland scoreline about right. Hard to see Italy scoring anything this afternoon
Have to say I'm finding this Ireland/Italy game is getting quite boring now ...
The possibility of a grannying is keeping me watching
I'm just hoping (against hope) for an Italian consolation.
Edit: yeah - never really looked like happening.
I know Ireland are ten or so positions aheae of Italy. But a nilling is a poor advert for the championship
