Society: you're expected to get a second job because if we made things cheap enough to survive off 1 job, that would be communism

Also society: no, not like that. That's cheating.

Teachers are paid absolute shit, and when a poor teacher finds a way to make some extra money on OnlyFans, they keep getting fired. If the kids they teach are watching her on OnlyFans, shouldn't that be their parents' problem? And it it isn't her kids, who gives a fuck?

I mean this lady is a shithead for her culturally appropriating past, but this is bullshit.

Yeah if you put it like that she as an individual got what she deserved but yeah what teachers or anyone from any other profession do while in their freetime ahould be their own choices.

That's pretty fucked up of the school.

And who would call OnlyFans social media? It's clearly a subscription based business.

[–] key@lemmy.keychat.org 4 points 8 months ago

It is by most definitions I can find. Why would being a "subscription based business" exclude it from that? Most social media sites are companies and monetization by subscriptions with revenue sharing is far from rare.

The policy states that employees should not communicate online in a manner that’s “unprofessional” or that would “significantly and adversely impact [their] work-related reputation.”

so·cial me·di·a

websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.

It absolutely meets the media part of things, and while it’s not a place for just casual “socializing” you’re still communicating with others. It’s not what we’d first think of as social media, but then again people somehow think lemmy isn’t social media.

I feel sorry for her, as it's not a black and white case of inappropriate behavior.

[–] imPastaSyndrome@lemm.ee 18 points 8 months ago

[–] imPastaSyndrome@lemm.ee 20 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Lol wasn't that the lady who pretended to be black? Fuck her.

[–] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 12 points 8 months ago (1 children)

It is, indeed, the same person. I have no symptathy for this person.

She has since changed her name to Nkechi

So, not a past action but a MO

[–] Teon@kbin.social 7 points 8 months ago

Dolezal, who legally changed her name to Nkechi Diallo

Really white girl? What a piece of garbage.
Karma seems to be catching up with her.
