Yeah I've seen pics of that before but completely forgot about that lol, got answered here with a link to Wikipedia that remembered me of it but thank you!
It's not "you could". The game does not progress until you press F, which turns what may have been a somewhat somber act into just a thing you're forced to do, completely removing the little respect you may have developped for that character in the short time he existed.
I believe it's an evolution of a reference from one of the Call of Duty games. In the game you literally press F to pay respects at one point. Pretty sure it was memed to death and then evolved from there
In the PC version Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare you, as the player, attend a funeral in the game. As it's your turn to walk up to the coffin, the game prompts you to "Press F to pay respects."
It became a meme and now people use F in place of RIP, or to "pay their respect" to something or someone that just "died", usually in a joking manner.
Nothing. Its the acton button in call of duty i believe. In one of yhe campaigns you had to press f to show respect at a funeral.
