I usually play rogue, but really considering monk when I start playing BG3. How are you liking it? What speciality did you pick?
I love it. I picked open palm and shoving things found a few items that give me extra damage on unarmed attacks. I do decent damage AND have a ton of CC. Plus being a half elf wood elf and picking the mobile feat means I can move an insane amount in one turn. Plus I can equip short bows for additional arrow utility.
Also having lots of fun with an open palm monk here! My build could have been better in hindsight but that's what more playthroughs are for.
Remember that you can respec at any time for just 100 gold.
If you like Monk, try adding 3 levels of Rogue(Thief subclass), the extra bonus action is pretty broken currently. You can Flurry of Blows twice a turn as long as you have Ki for great burst damage.
My issue is with my stat distribution which I think is locked in but I'd absolutely love to be mistaken. It's not too bad, just would tweak it a bit more in hindsight.
No, I believe you can, but you have to manually select the "Abilities" submenu. It's easily missable.

You can also get 3 turns of additional bonus action as a monk as well at level 6 I think.
