@rezz was banned from the instance more than a week ago, as I explained here. I've only logged back to Lemmy.world that day, which is why it wasn't detected sooner.

~~Now that his account's been reinstated, I'm calling for assistance from my fellow mods to bring him back to the team (I don't know how 🥲 )~~

Sounds like links to nba streams was the reason. Should we consider moving the community to a different instance so that can still happen?

I’ve seen this happen a bunch, unfortunately. A lot of communities with ghosted admins.

I try and keep alive the communities I manage, even with minimal engagement. I am still optimistic that the audience will arrive

Thanks fam. It was totally uncommunicated ahead of time and clearly reactionary to other things. They are 100% in the clear being not in the US; pretty confusing TBH.

I started an account on db0 server and have instructions on how it might be permitted going forward so that he'd be comfortable if I were to share those links again. I'm sure most of you have them at this point.

But yeah, any ideas around migrating I'm down for. LemmyWorld is still federated with db0 ironically, and won't defederated, so definitely possible to go there or start our own. Not too active to justify our own but could be fun. LMK.
