Hi, I'm trying to find YouTube channels that make videos like this: https://youtu.be/bCQMHjDAJZU?si=jeFNvxTGK95o0YWQ

Basically I want channels that cover new/upcoming games, talking about them in a casual and unscripted way. I like these videos because they're a great way to stay informed on current games.

Giant Bomb used to be known for making videos like this, but unfortunately they stopped making them. Game Informer's "New Gameplay Today" videos are basically the same thing, but I'd like to find a channel that makes videos like this a bit more frequently. Do you guys know of any channels like this? Thanks

I exclusively watch gameranx and gamers nexus for gaming news. They‘re in depth, fun and not trying to sell you stuff imo.

I might stop watching them if something like that popped up on peertube but so far I‘m out of luck.

The linux project used to upload to peertube but the space requirement is brutal so I relate to issues with that but I‘m still sad that he stopped.

Iron Pineapple on YouTube has a series called Steam Dumpster Diving where he reviews Souls-like games in the style that you mention.

It is unfortunately limited to Souls-like games even though he himself admits that his definition of Souls-like is very loose (if there is a parry system and a dodge button, its a souls-like. Bonus points for having a bonfire mechanic). He also reviews new and old games, and I know you specifically mentioned new or upcoming games. He does skew towards newer releases however.

Whatculture gaming is decent enough.

Some hosts/writers are more genuine than others.

Jules is GOAT.

I don't watch it all the time, but it's usually up-to-date gaming news.

PowerPak is good at covering the steam next fests, picking out worthwhile demos to keep an eye on.

gameranx is my go to
