For some reason I was under the impression that I was tethered to my vet when it came to getting my cat's thyroid medicine, but today I just asked them if I could have a copy of the prescription so I could order it online and they gave it to me. Just wondering what's a reliable and affordable site for their medicine.

Nothing special but we use Chewy, I setup a subscription for the medicine so it auto ships, and when the prescription is out of refills they handle communication with the vet without me having to do anything. It's been pretty smooth process.

Awesome, that's just the kind of info I needed.

If chewy has it, I'd use them. Otherwise, we use CareFirst specialty compounding. Kind of an archaic website but relatively cheap for the med that chewy doesn't supply.

I use Chewy. They were able to verify the prescription with my vet and I can reorder as needed.

Our cat is on several different meds and we go through a veterinary compounding pharmacy that is semi-local to us; they ship his meds. It is cheaper than the vet, and we don’t have to give a feisty cat 3 separate pills morning and night! Worth looking into that if it’s more than just the thyroid meds. It’s made life a lot easier.

Check with your insurance if you have it, some of them have preferred suppliers.
