You should be able to tap on the status bar area at the top of the posts screen to return to the top of that screen. (Might not be available on Android though?).
Tapping on the title of the post in the comments view takes you to the top and tapping there again returns you to the comment you were viewing. (Should work on all platforms)
Mystery navigation, I know, so we need to work out how to expose that to users.
Definitely not available on Android. I got used to doing that on apple so when I made the switch that was one thing that really messed with me
