My experience is similar I used to appreciate cars with a decent exhaust and went through the same sound system phase. Then I lived on a slight hill on a long street. If you read the article, you'll find that they expected the results to show that people were "attention seekers", but in fact they found that they were NOT trying to get attention and manipulate people's view of them the way narcisists do. They don't want attention, they actually want to HURT people. That's a big, big difference.
