The same thing as always. Either you're working on the shiny new thing, or you're a dinosaur. There's no reward for maintaining a perfectly good application as-is.

Latest thing I noticed is at least with the home devices you can no longer get who/what band is playing.

It only tells you the song name. The band/artist is the primary reason I ask, not the song title.

I've lost the ability to stop media playing. Fortunately I have a Google Home with a pause button.

They took away the ability to set alarms through the mic icon. The most useful feature for me.

Google now on tap was the GOAT. The amount of stuff you could do back than was so cool. Now, we have this clunky mess of assistant and Gemini AI which doesn't work half the time.
