Are you the author of the article?

If so, you and I should collaborate and create a soil science community. I don't want to detail my background and current line of work in an open comment (feel free to DM me). I mod https://slrpnk.net/c/reclamation,.

Please reach out if you're even remotely interested. I've been meaning to get the community off the ground, but life and work have been nuttier than an oh-henry bar lately.

I am not, but I do a lot with soil science and still mod r/sedimentology as quiet as it is. Mander would be a good place to do this too as it is tailored to meta natural sciences. Happy to create it here then hand you the reigns.

I'll probably end up creating it at solarpunk, and inviting you, now that things have started to calm down somewhat. Are you interested in co-modding? I could use someone with a bit more mod know-how, and connections to the wider soil science community on the fediverse (sp?).

Sure, no problem. :) Let me know when it is made and send me a link.

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !soilscience@slrpnk.net

What is geoscience?

Geoscience (also called Earth Science) is the study of Earth. Geoscience includes so much more than rocks and volcanoes, it studies the processes that form and shape Earth's surface, the natural resources we use, and how water and ecosystems are interconnected. Geoscience uses tools and techniques from other science fields as well, such as chemistry, physics, biology, and math! Read more...
