Me hopping into graphics programming to build my own small engine for my game.
That is awesome! It takes a lot of smarts, on top of hard work and dedication, to do that. Mad props!
Me deciding to do another master degree...
Congrats! What are you considering majoring in?
And what is your current once in? We wanna know!
I come from social sciences. Really fun and all but I realised it was not my calling like ten years after.
That's pretty cool. Strong of you to realize this and want to do something else.
Missing my thesis to finish data science. I had forgotten what it was like to have assignments. Can definitely say Indid not miss them one bit!
I just finished my masters, and I had a 10-page paper due in lieu of a thesis. On top of that, I had a 25-minute video where I summarized an academic paper. I’ve already forgotten everything about both lol.
Looool. Truly, as one does.
I love the art style so much
I hate the writing - had to re-read some parts 2-3 times because of shitty "hand"writing and a stupid unneeded "bc" in the middle which could have been a "be"
Wait, I thought "bc" was referred to "because".
It is.
It does mean "because", but since it's the only abbreviation in the whole text, coming out of nowhere, it definitely made reading harder because you try to figure out what that "two-letter-thing" is supposed to mean.
I had trouble to read it too. I didn't realise until I read your comment, now I'm wondering wether I like it or not. Thinking about it, it actually illustrate the comics very well: it's harder to read because it's not what I'm used too, but it also forces me to read other kind of writings which I guess is good because not everything should be normalised too much.
I don't have a problem with different writings - but in comics, they should be legible - after all I am trying to follow a narrative, not earn a degree in cryptography :)
At least she's got some kind of emotion to communicate. These are the only emotions I've got:
It's a trap
Cigarette time
Mad
Dance time
Shoot zombies
Horny
Lol
Done with shit
How am I just hearing about this comic?! Thank you for sharing, I love it
Very welcome! I only stumbled across it a couple of months ago myself.
Yup. This is me. Down to the very last ‘H’ in AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…
It’s unnerving and uncomfortable, and I don’t like it. Remind me why we do this to ourselves?
Bc the alternative is so much worse? :-D
I feel this, but also these comics make people seem so fragile...
Exaggeration is one of the key concepts in making a good comic.
A major part of media, especially those with social commentary, is hyperbolizing emotion and reactions. Both to make it easier to identify and relate to it, and also to better critique them.
The key to solving problems to take breaks.
