For an "early adopter" it is amazing so far. I see a lot of potential, more-so with Lemmy than other federated platforms. I thought I would just use Lemmy on mobile to replace Reddit since I refuse to download their app. Instead, it unintentionally replaced Reddit almost entirely for me. Just missing some small niche communities that I can't find anywhere but reddit

Took me a while to find a client i liked (wefwef) and understand how subscriptions with the fediverse works, but now that i do, it's a pretty awesome experience.
In donating monthly to the Mastadon.world Patreon and I couldn't be happier to be doing it.
I’m not great at getting to learn new things. Took me ages to get used to Reddit. I didn’t use the third party apps (I only just learnt how to use the Reddit app), but my friend did and it’s shit what Spez did to everyone. So yeah, fuck Reddit. I’m slowly getting used to lemmy. Need to spend more time on it but am enjoying
I’m loving it but I’m worried about what will happen when an instance goes down and knocks out a significant community.
For some reason the notification bell icon is only appearing after I check my inbox and see the message. Then I hit the bell and it tells me there's nothing new because I already read it. If it's working for you maybe it'll just sort itself out. I'm using the Connect app, by the way.
Too much tankie bullshit.
Second biggest server is straight up Chinese Communist Party propaganda.
I like Lemmy for inheriting all of Reddit's positive traits. Tough moderation, bots in the comments, stupid upvote/downvote hells, and many other virtues. I remember how it all started and all the sweet utopian tales of those who shouted "f*ck u/spez" on every corner. You can delete your Reddit account, but you can't delete Reddit from your head.
I haven't had to adjust to much. It's pretty much the same as before, in terms of how everything works at a basic level. I'm liking the different sorting options, more. New Comments is exactly what I like to see.
Loving it so far. Only joined today and looking forward to seeing this grow and more content.
I like it, definitely more politically aligned than reddit, but I still find it a bit empty. On one hand, I like that my comments don’t drown in a sea of similar comments, on the other there is rarely a lively discussion. So: mostly good, still hoping for a bit of growth
I think just like most people's experiences. It does what I need it to. We just need people and participation.
I'm waiting to see when things go back to normal in a sense of just regular content and not reddit migration stuff, so far it's not much different, let's see how it goes.
6 of my most lurked subreddits have no equivalent over here. I have no hope as they are niche and it will take a lot of momentum for them to migrate over here
