Yeah, i think the main repo has 0.0.34. If you add IzzyOnDroid it has the latest version

I added the izzydroid repo and I don't know if the repo just isn't working or what, but there is no newer version listed for me.

You probably need to re-install it selecting the Izzy repo. The app in the offical repo is signed differently from the one on Izzys and the F-Droid app will stay on the repo your app is installed from.

Izzy repo usually updates daily while official one is always a few days behind.

I don't know if I solved it by disabling and re-enabling the repo but that's one of the things I tried and later I could see it.

For me, PlayStore has 0.0.33. F-Droid has 0.0.34 (which I have installed) even with IzzyOnDroid repo added. Droid-ify has 0.0.35, but I can't install it due to signature mismatch with current version. Telling me I need to uninstall the current version first.

The F-Droid version of apps is signed by F-Droid's key, while the IzzyOnDroid version is signed by the developer's key. If you have the F-Droid version installed, you need to uninstall it before installing from IzzyOnDroid, Github or Playstore. F-Droid might not show the update from IzzyOnDroid if you can't install it.

It's out already as of today. Check your installed app version. The Play Store listed version is sometimes behind

My app and Play Store both say 0.0.33

[-] fisco@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

When I checked the Playstore, yesterday, the version was 0.0.33, today its been updated, showing as 0.0.35๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

[-] Debs@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Yep! Just got out this morning!

[-] MisterD@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

I had 0.0.33 on my tablet installed from Google. I found 0.0.34 on fdroid. Used fdroid to uninstall 0.0.33 and install 0.0.34. New version just crashes on launch. Tried to go back to 0.0.33. Same issue.

Next thing I noticed, 0.0.34 is gone on fdroid. Only 0.0.33.

Reboots, cache clearing, data clearing. Nothing works. Waiting for 0.0.35 and hope

Hey! I did this exact thing too. Open jerboa and click top right hamburger dots repeatedly and rapidly. It'll catch and stay open. No idea why. Not a tech guy.

My current app is a reinstalled. 33 from play store, but when I opened it, the .35 what's new notification was still showing, even after uninstalling the .35 cause of the crashing. I clicked those buns and boom up and running (

[-] OrakMoya@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

I tried both play store and fdroid version. Both were outdated.

Now I'll just download the new apk off of github when I hear a new version was released.

If you want an easier way to install the latest from github check out Obtainium. You can give it a GitHub URL (among many others) and it'll check for new versions and install for you. I use it for Signal.

It's live now, just updated it today. Definitely looks more polished now!

Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
