Trump needs to address this appropriately, and step down if that's not enough. I'm concerned about his ability to perform the duties of the presidency, considering his diminished capacity this year.

Lots of people are calling for it recently. He has no bump in polling since the debate and hasn't had a real press conference in a long time.

I've seen the same: the internet is exploding with everyone saying Trump should step down.

More and more these days. He needs to address it. Voters are going to lose confidence in his abilities to lead.

Funny because it's true.

Also, not funny.

Today's schadenfreude.

More than a few say he's going to be Trump’s VP.

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 16 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Maybe that's why the video was unearthed?

I'm sure there's a lot of opo research going on all sides. This could be driven by Marko Rubio, another VP contender, as much as Biden/Harris.

True, but I'll take it.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

[–] idiomaddict@feddit.de 2 points 4 months ago

I’ve thought that before about Marco Rubio

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 4 months ago

Political crab-bucketing.

Everyone believes trump's sexual assualt accusers. Some just ignore them or possibly admire him for it.

[–] LesserAbe@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

Ah ok, it's a 2016 clip so this article is a hit from someone else who wants the VP slot

[–] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Which one?

There's a lot of them. I'm inclined to believe all of them.

[–] dudinax@programming.dev 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

My guess is only 95% are true. Clearly Donny is the one being victimized here, so he should be made president in compensation.

[–] orbitz@lemmy.ca 4 points 4 months ago

Let's throw in a 3rd term allowance too since he was so persecuted in his first heh. I'd say allow him to rob the treasury too but he'll do that anyways if he's elected.

Also yes I know about project 2025, so there's a chance he gets that in some form anyways. After all, a president can do whatever he wants if the heritage foundation says it's official duties...sorry the Supreme Court.

Trump has to know that whomever he picks will be itching to depose him at first opportunity. He'll want to pick someone too weak to threaten him, but has the appearance of someone strong.

[–] newthrowaway20@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

And JD Vance believes it, he just doesn't care.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Strike 1 and he's out!
