You're really missing out on what you can get the sound to make you feel, like actual feel and sense from just sound that is strategically modulated.

My airpods are fantasic but they can't really shake/rock your world the way even a proper portable speaker can bust out. Its like that famous old guy in the chair being blasted by his sound system

I have and love the UE Roll, fucking little powerhouse 💥

Edit: anyone know of a similar form factor to mine, just want to know what else is out there for redundancy's sake

Neutral point here but what is the policy if a hypothetical tribe being genocided away was itself genocidal? How do you balance those interests in a humane, stablizing way?

Chesterton's Fence is a good one that I'm working on. Never get rid of or dismiss something until you've understood how and why it came to be and what purpose it served.

Something like that.

Also, in the other direction, Second Order Thinking, do a triple T chart and describe the shor, medium, and long term knock-on consequences or experiental results it is likely to yield

Do the dishes. Make it a challenge, you touched the lava floor if you dont finish in time so take on only what you know you can squeeze in just in time

I'm

quitting soda and replacing it with a healthier, slighlty pricier beverage

less addicting and doesn't harm my health, in fact it will save me money long term in dental problems and costs. Its at least >= 1%

Feel free to be a little loose with the quantifying ;)

Just realized this while trying to quit soda for the unpteenth time. There's a certain drink thats way healthier but more expensive by the carton that has basically no sugar and is much better for me. I'm going to stop fretting about buying it because irs replacing something crappier that makes me feel worse and destroys my teeth which I will pay for at some point anyway.

Don't just quit things, give yourself a nourishing, replenishing, life-giving alternative. Its not nice to present or future you to smash your crutches when its already so hard to stand and move about totally raw and unmediated in this life

By that I mean basically unexpected oases in your life where and by whom you feel nurtured and restored and just safe in the moment?

For me, it was a woman at work who became like a mother to me and I'll think a bit more about physical spaces but that is a very important aspect also

Try not to say your home space cuz that should be a given. Think outside the crib

I'm curious if this has actually happened to someone to great dramatic effect

Personally, I've had episodes where I was tripping and lost access to the knowledge of passcode but luckily my sort of muscle memory saved the day but its not always a sure thing which was scary at the time

I have 4

  • Sleepy tea
  • coconut milk
  • water
  • just cracked open a Coca-Cola

This is VERY normal for me, if anything it is restraint lol

If we can avoid massive collective issues that would be appreciated as there is very little agency the individual has to address those and that helpless ess can often extend to the more solvable individual matters we all grapple with but also occasionally rise to conquer.
