[-] XPost3000@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

My other brothers can't hear right

Then when a girl talks in an itty bitty way

We found the thing for the case, subs get sprung

@kdenlive @kde I wonder, does it also support the British equivalent .arse ?

[-] csolisr@hub.azkware.net 2 points 1 month ago

[-] shammers@mastodon.coffee 12 points 1 month ago

@kdenlive Ah yes, good ol' Advance SubStation Alpha subtitles. Been a while since I've seen them around, they were really common for fansubs

[-] raptor85@mastodon.gamedev.place 4 points 1 month ago

@csolisr @kdenlive @kde they're still by far the most common subtitle format

[-] PureTryOut@lemmy.kde.social 1 points 1 month ago

Wouldn't that be SRT?

[-] einlander@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Man those were different times. I remember my brother using Aegisub and the stuff they could do with it, mind blowing.

[-] csolisr@hub.azkware.net 1 points 1 month ago

@einlander Fun fact: the developer of #Aegisub, Rodrigo Braz Monteiro, ended up building the engine for #Wargroove 1 and 2.

All about dat ass? Freaky today, aren't we

[-] eggbreakerdotexe@transfem.social 5 points 1 month ago

@kdenlive@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social okay but jokes aside this is a genuinely nice feature to have

[-] cryptgoat@digitalcourage.social 5 points 1 month ago

@kdenlive @kde oh god why would you do that to yourself. ASS is a format that needs to die, not become even more popular.

It's also silly to support the unspecified proprietary ASS format before supporting the actual industry standard for subtitles TTML/ISMC.

[-] aires@tiggi.es 4 points 1 month ago

@kdenlive @kde Get that ASS team 👏

[-] jeanv@mastodon.gamedev.place 3 points 1 month ago

@kdenlive @kde This news makes me very happy! I've specifically been wanting better subtitling since I started using Kdenlive because creating decadent subtitles is fun for me. Thank you for implementing it!
