I will log in, refresh the browser on a different page, and suddenly I'm logged out. This started happening maybe a week ago or so. Any known issues there?

This has been happening to me and others as well, across multiple Lemmy instances. The common thread seems to be Firefox. I assume something changed in a recent Firefox update?

If anyone figures out the root cause, I would love to hear about it.

Somebody at lemmy.ml posted that the cookie is being set to 3023

This was the same for me and after changing the year to 2025 in my browser, it seems to not log me out anymore.

Thanks, this worked for me as well. For those that don't know how to change this (like me a little while ago) hit F12, go to the storage tab and select the site from the cookies list on the left then change the year in the "Expires / Max-Age" cell in the middle window. Hit enter and it should save.

I have the same issue on LibreWolf.

I'm using LibreWolf here and I'm not having this issue on my end.
