It's seems right that we should have a local community to help us all with PieFed

I should have thought to ask this earlier, sorry. This is only the beta test of the software, and I just recently noticed the instance isn't super active so far. It occurred to me that maybe y'all aren't ready for anyone to treat this as home just yet? Will we be overtaxing the system if we post/subscribe too much, or have to worry about all our stuff disappearing from breaking updates/migration/etc? It's such a nice platform I just started moving right in without thinking about it!

I think so, yeah. I imagine Rimu will be along in a bit to give you a definite answer but he's suggested that we're pretty much at the end of the 'beta' test phase. I'm not sure that anyone ever actually lost any data, but the potential for that ever happening should be over by now. Likewise, I don't think there's any danger of posting or subscribing too much overtaxing anything.

Thanks for choosing piefed.social for your community's home. Your post on !newcommunities@lemmy.world made more people aware of PieFed (and prompted rglullis to add it to the https://fediverser.network/ thingy) so that was good to see!

Yes, what Andrew said.

Not a dev, but pretty sure treating it as a normal platform is fine by this point. ;-)
