Still fucked Americans can't buy BYD, because they're so cheap American companies (that don't really make anything in America) can't compete.

It's not a "free market" if the wealthiest can get an entire company banned so they don't have to compete.

All we're doing is propping up rich assholes like Musk whose cars are absolute shit.

I suppose you could buy their electric buses, trucks or forklifts.

Yep, 500 unionized American workers putting more electric buses on the road in North America than any other company....

But we won't let them open up a plant to make cars here, because we have to protect American CEOs who outsource the assembly anyways.

It's good we can get the buses but fucked we can't get their cars.

My Dell laptop battery is a BYD! Surprised when I saw the name. So that's... Something.

American "manufacturers" are fine with foreign parts they buy from China and get assembled into a product in Mexico.

It's just all those companies aren't actually contributing anything, they just increase the overhead which is why they can't compete against a Chinese company even when they're assembling in America like BYD.

But CEOs and shareholders are the ones that can donate millions to politicians, so both parties prioritize corporate profits over people.
