Wow, I've never seen this movie before but I have seen that masked figure in my dreams a few days ago.

Unfortunately it turned into a sleep paralysis nightmare where that figure grabbed me in fear and did an evil, maniacal laugh.

It's a fantastic movie and that character actually ends up being pretty nice by the end lol

I know, but that part seemed more thematically appropriate based on the dream!

Holy, this is amazing. What's next on your list?

[โ€“] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

I plan to do a couple of smaller quick pieces as a little break and then I want to tackle a pattern I made myself from an actual photo I took! That one will be a full coverage piece with like 80 colors so it will take a while lol

Yay! It's so great. Congrats on finishing it!

This is so cool and it makes me wonder did you purchase this as a kit or is there a way you can design your own?

Say I wanted to make some Minecraft ones?

[โ€“] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This one was not a kit but it was a digital pattern I got on Etsy! I was going to post the link but it looks like the seller took it down already lol you absolutely can make your own patterns from any image using different websites and apps though! My next big project is going to be from a photograph I took and converted to a pattern using flosscross.com

Thanks for the response. Off I go down another rabbit hole.

Thanks! If you look through my post history you'll find one from Howl's Moving Castle too lol I've got a few Totoro patterns saved I want to get to eventually

[โ€“] Sunny@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 months ago

Wonderful! Howls Moving castle is one of my absolute favs. Grew up watching that movie over and over! Currently reading the first book of the trilogy.

Thanks! I just started cross stitching about 2-3 years ago so I try to get better with each new project!
